    Data Subject Access Policy 


    The Data Subject Access Rights Policy sets out the procedures to be followed in the Adoption Authority of Ireland when handling and responding to Data Subject Access Rights requests under the GDPR made by data subjects, their representatives, or other stakeholders. 

    This policy defines the rights of the individual in relation to their personal data and clarifies the extent to which the Authority must perform its duties as a data controller. 

    Data Subject Access Rights that are covered by this policy:

     

    • The Right to Information
    • Data Subject Requests (Article 15)
    • Requests for Deleted / Erasure of Data also referred to as the Right to be Forgotten (Article 17 & 19)
    • Requests for Correction / Rectification of Data (Article 16)
    • Requests for Restriction of Processing (Articles 18 & 19)
    • Data Portability (Article 20)

    Data Subject Access Requests

    To request access to your personal data, you may make a request to us at any time by email or telephone. 

    Alternatively, for your convenience, you may like to complete the Subject Access Request Form, and return it to:

    You must provide proof of identity with your request, for example, a certified copy of a driving licence or passport.
