Tracing

The Adoption Authority of Ireland understands that adoption is a life-long process that can generate a mix of emotions and needs for all parties involved.  

Social workers in the Adoption Authority provide a statutory tracing service on behalf of adoptees, birth parents and birth relatives, and manage the Contact Preference Register.
